4 Step Wellness: A Perfect Balance of DO & BE!

A business coaching session with a client this morning generated the insight how the 4 Step Wellness formula from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Nutrition, Exercise, Sleep, and Meditation) provides a perfect 2 + 2 balance of doing and being: Optimal sleep hygiene is necessary for rejuvenating body, mind, and spirit, while meditation helps us gain freedom from the physical senses and cultivates the intuitive faculty of extra-sensory perception. And with this formula, we have an integral system for achieving what Sri Aurobindo calls “The Triple Transformation of Integral Yoga:” Deep, high, and wide. The question of meditation comes up frequently in coaching sessions, and I like to respond from personal experience. Currently, I practice a 15 minute guided mediation from “Getting Into The Vortex” by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham), which I enjoy tremendously… I keep craving it daily. The four step wellness formula of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has become the core component of my wellness coaching because it allows for those who apply it consistently...
